Smartports develops new energy hubs together with the municipally owned property companies Säfflebostäder and Forskningen i Säffle
Smartports has signed agreements with the municipally owned property companies Säfflebostäder and Forskningen i Säffle to establish new energy hubs in Säffle. The initiative comprises a total of 38 PAC units and will transform existing parking areas into modern energy hubs featuring solar power and EV charging.
By making parking areas available to Smartports, Säfflebostäder is creating new value from existing land while strengthening its offering to tenants through modern charging infrastructure.
– We continuously work to develop our properties and create added value for our tenants. The partnership with Smartports enables us to make smarter use of our parking areas and strengthen our offering for the future, says Carl-Gustav Eriksson, CEO of Säfflebostäder AB.
The project includes installations at several properties in Säffle and provides another example of how municipally owned property companies can develop existing parking areas without requiring additional land development.
– This partnership demonstrates how parking areas can be transformed into assets that create new value for property owners and their tenants. We are pleased with the trust placed in us by both Säfflebostäder and Forskningen i Säffle, and we look forward to contributing to the municipality’s continued development, says Johan Gren, COO of Smartports Sweden.
