A new energy solution will strengthen the service offering for guests and visitors in a nature-focused resort environment.

Smartports has signed an agreement with Resort Yxenhaga, Småland’s largest cabin resort, for the installation of two energy hubs based on the company’s PAC and CAP solutions. The facilities will be located at the resort’s upper and lower parking areas, marking a new step in the development of the destination’s service offering.

Located in the scenic surroundings of Hok and open year-round, Resort Yxenhaga sees the initiative as an opportunity to meet growing demand for modern and sustainable services for both guests and visitors. By combining solar energy, battery storage, and EV charging, new functional spaces are created that enhance the overall visitor experience.

“For us, this is a unique opportunity to further develop our offering and create additional value for our guests. We want to stay at the forefront when it comes to both service and sustainability,” says Magnus Thelin, founder and CEO of Resort Yxenhaga.

The installation of one PAC8 and one CAP8 means that existing parking areas will be transformed into local energy hubs where energy is produced, stored, and used directly on-site. The solution helps reduce strain on the power grid while enabling a more flexible and future-proof energy infrastructure.

“Resort Yxenhaga is an excellent example of how the hospitality industry can transform existing spaces into something more than just parking. This project creates both functionality and experience in an environment where sustainability becomes a natural part of the whole,” says Johan Gren, COO of Smartports Sweden.
