Smartports strengthens expansion with 150+ new units in Sweden and France
Energy technology company Smartports signed agreements for 150+ new Smartports in Sweden and France during June, divided between 94 CAP and 58 PAC. The agreements cover several types of businesses and properties and show that demand for integrated energy infrastructure continues to grow in both markets.
The new projects span several segments, including residential properties, commercial real estate, retail locations and businesses with larger parking areas. Together, they show how existing parking areas can play an increasingly important role in the energy transition.
At the core of the projects is the Smartports model: transforming existing parking areas into energy hubs that combine solar energy, EV charging and battery storage. By using already developed surfaces, property owners and businesses can create new revenue opportunities and strengthen their energy infrastructure without developing new land.
