Smiths Gore is delighted to announce that Andrew Harle will become its new Senior Partner. He will take over the role from Simon Knight on 1st April 2014.

After a highly successful eighteen year tenure Simon, 63, will continue as an Equity Partner and will devote more time to his client facing responsibilities. Under his direction, Smiths Gore has gone from strength to strength, more than doubling in size both organically and through acquisition, and sealing its reputation as one of the foremost chartered surveying firms in the UK. Simon has pioneered the growth of the firm’s services to clients through incredible focus on specialised sectors and an incisive ability to recognise the demands and challenges facing land and property owners.

Simon Knight comments: “I feel very proud and honoured to have led the firm as Senior Partner. I feel confident that in passing the reins to Andrew, the firm will be in very capable hands. I know that Andrew is as ambitious for the firm as I am and I’m sure that Smiths Gore will go from strength to strength under his leadership.”

Andrew Harle, 51, qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1989; he was admitted to the Partnership in 1995 and was appointed as Managing Partner in 2002. Like his predecessors, he will combine the role of Senior Partner with client work.

Andrew Harle says: “I feel privileged to have been elected by my fellow partners to lead the firm. I intend to build upon the great legacy left by Simon that has enabled Smiths Gore to enjoy the enviable position as the UK’s leading firm of rural chartered surveyors. With the energy, integrity and talent of my partners and our staff, I am looking forward to building upon our reputation as market leader in our sector.”
