Smoltek and YAGEO present technology for ultra-thin capacitors
This press release is an English version of the previously published Swedish version, which has interpretive precedence.
Smoltek Nanotech Holding AB ("Smoltek") announces that the group company Smoltek Semi and its partner YAGEO will present their joint collaboration for the commercialization of Smoltek's technology for ultra-thin capacitors at the international 3D-PEIM (3D Power Electronics Integration and Manufacturing) conference, which is organized by Florida International University in Miami in early February.
Smoltek and YAGEO will present the progress of their collaboration to develop and commercialize ultra-thin capacitors, based on Smoltek's proprietary and patent-protected carbon nanofiber capacitor technology. The first capacitor that the companies intend to commercialize is a decoupling capacitor that, thanks to its extremely low profile, can be placed closer to the application processor in mobile phones and other advanced devices compared to competing technologies.
“By participating in this event together with our partner YAGEO, we increase the awareness of Smoltek's revolutionizing nanotechnology platform and our upcoming joint product family with ultra-thin capacitors”, said Håkan Persson, CEO of Smoltek.
YAGEO is one of the world's largest manufacturers of passive electronic components, which also includes capacitors. The purpose of the collaboration is to commercialize Smoltek's technology by integrating it into YAGEO's product flow. This provides an ideal path to market, including a global sales network and at the same time as the capacitor technology is available globally.
