Debuts latest innovations to three core products on Stand F15

BVE2014, Stand F15: London, 21 January, 2014 – At this year’s BVE, taking place from 25-27 February 2014 at London’s ExCeL, Snell will be highlighting the latest product innovations to help broadcasters, content owners and content providers to process, manage and present their valuable media content. Specialists will be on hand to discuss the Maverik production switcher panel, the new ICE channel-in-a-box family, including the 1U ICE-LE and Alchemist On Demand (OD), Snell’s first media transformation software for picture perfect image processing.

Flexible, fast and reliable production control interface – Kahuna Maverik

New to BVE is Kahuna Maverik, Snell’s modular-based control surface for the Kahuna 360 multi-format production switcher. Providing technical directors with unprecedented freedom in panel design and a flexible, quick and reliable access control interface, Maverik performs in every type of studio and mobile TV programming, saving on space, reducing set-up time and mirroring the studio’s operation.

More configurations in less space – ICE Channel-in-a-Box

Snell will be introducing the newly extended ICE channel-in-a-box family to BVE. The new ICE packs even more functionality into a smaller footprint including the most advanced graphics capabilities. The even smaller 1U version, ICE-LE brings ICE technology to an exceptionally low price point making it ideal for space and cost-critical applications.

Bringing Emmy award-winning frame-rate conversion via a software platform – Alchemist OD

Using unique award-winning image processing technology, Alchemist OD is a scalable software product which offers unrivalled low-cost, motion-compensated frame rate conversion “On Demand”. Engineered with content owners, post production facilities and playout service providers in mind, it combines Snell’s image processing expertise with commodity IT equipment, saving time and money whilst safeguarding quality. It’s simplicity of integration, Service Orientated Architecture and floating license model provides the versatility to evolve and adapt with changing business requirements, offering seamless global program exchange and multi-device content delivery.

Flexible routing and extensive control  – Vega and Luna

The Vega router allows users to configure any signal port independently for fiber and/or coax (copper) and as an input or output. Vega is the industry's most flexible asymmetric routing solution within a space-saving 2RU 96-port or 4RU 192-port router.  A 2U Vega will be on display at BVE alongside some of the latest ergonomically designed Luna LED and LCD control panels.
