The neighborhood is also home to one of the finest adobe haciendas in the state, a rare original stagecoach at the Wells Fargo Museum, the reconstructed Robinson-Rose House—home of San Diego’s first newspaper, the Church of Immaculate Conception (formally dedicated in 1919), a Tequila Museum and much more.  

This walking tour in San Diego will take you on the ghoulish side. You can hold the hand of one your amigos if you need some encouragement walking into the spooktacular El Campo Santo Cemetery, established in 1849. People visiting the cemetery often report feeling an icy chill when they walk through certain spots, or seeing otherworldly apparitions. You can visit the grave of Yankee Jim Robinson—and if you’re still brave enough—we’ll stop by the Whaley House where he was hanged. This historic home is believed by many to be the most haunted house in America.
