Marlow, UK, 18 December 2012 – In a bid to reflect and enhance its exciting company culture, IT provider Softcat has refurbished its new offices to provide its hard-working team with a working environment that is second to none. The ‘Great Place To Work 2012’ company moved its team into its new offices in Marlow earlier this autumn and employees can now enjoy some light relief with a quick game of pool, a wall-to-wall X-box experience, quirky décor and entertaining signage throughout.

Featuring a big red telephone box and signage showing the way to the pub, Softcat has joined the likes of Google in creating a truly distinctive office design to reflect its fun work culture. Softcat decided to extend its ‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy to designing its new offices, and it went out on a limb to create a unique design that would mirror the heart of its company culture. The expansive refit was a move to meet its company culture with distinctive workplace to match. Softcat employees heavily influenced the design.

Martin Hellawell, Softcat’s managing director, commented: “We believe that a workplace should reflect and reinforce the working culture within it. Most companies plan an office design with an aim to creating a certain company culture and atmosphere. As proven by this year’s official listing as one of the UK’s best workplaces by ‘Great Place to Work’, we already had a unique, dynamic work culture – we just needed a workplace to match it. We’re not your typical company, so why should we settle for a typical workplace?”
