Marlow, UK, 12 April 2012 – Last night Softcat won Top Performer of the Year for Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa, one of the biggest accolades up for grabs at the Veeam Partner of the Year Awards. The award ceremony was held in Zug, Switzerland, at the new international headquarters of Veeam, the virtual infrastructure management and data protection product developer.

Softcat won the award on the strength of its performance in solving customers’ virtualisation problems using Veeam solutions. The IT provider is Veeam’s largest partner in the UK, a key market for virtual infrastructure management and data protection.

Sam Routledge, solutions director at Softcat, travelled to Switzerland to accept the trophy. “We are delighted to win this award,” he said. “Using Veeam, we are able to provide an extensive range of virtualisation services, bringing together a comprehensive ecosystem around the core technology to deliver the results our customers are looking for.”

The award ceremony rounded off a big day for Veeam, which also celebrated the grand opening of its new international headquarters.

Over the course of 2011 and 2012, Softcat has also won VMware’s Partner of the Year, Dell’s UK and EMEA Partner of the Year, Symantec Partner of the Year, and EMC’s Growth Partner of the Year. In late 2011, it became the first reseller to retain the Reseller of the Year award at the CRN Channel Awards in two consecutive years.
