Softronic acquires company in Europe

Softronic acquires company in Europe Softronic has acquired one of Portugal's leading independent management companies, Iberconsult, for 25 MSEK, thus providing good prerequisites to be one of the driving forces of the development of e-business in the Portuguese and Spanish markets. Softronic's management was recently in Lisbon to sign the final acquisition agreement with Iberconsult. The agreement implies that Softronic AB acquires one of the leading independent management consultancy companies located on the Iberian Peninsula. Some of Portugal's largest companies are amongst its customers. The purchase price, including estimated supplementary costs, amounts to 25 MSEK (3 M Euro), of which one third is being paid as a directed new issue and two thirds in cash. The goodwill acquired amounts to 21.5 MSEK. Iberconsult has good profitability and the acquisition positively influences the Softronic group's result. Iberconsult was founded in 1989, but many of the company's senior consultants have worked together since 1979. Iberconsult today employs 30 people and is active in Portugal and Spain - markets with considerable demand within e-strategy and e-business. Customers include the telecom company EDP and the TAP airline, which are two of Spain's largest companies. Iberconsult has e-strategic competence and the technical competence will initially be brought in from Softronic in Sweden, to then gradually be built up locally. - I have already spoken to some Portuguese and Spanish companies, says Anders Eriksson, Softronic's managing director, and I am convinced that we shall start a number of important and exciting projects down there in the near future.
