The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to Staples Inc. for violating certain manufacturing policies associated with food products stored in one of its California facilities.

According to Reuters, the FDA claimed that the products were prepared, packed or held under unsanitary conditions and may be a health hazard. The agency said it found rodent feces near the packages of different food products such as crackers, pistachios, candies, creamers, ramen noodles, and bottled water.

The FDA inspected the California facility between October 20 and November 3, 2011.
