Federal safety regulators are looking into complaints that accelerators can become stuck in Ford Taurus vehicles from model years 2005 and 2006.

According to the Associated Press, the investigation was initiated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Traffic Administration (NHTSA) for about 360,000 sedans. So far, 14 people have complained about the issue and said they had a hard time stopping the car with the brakes. Other drivers reported that they had to shift the car into neutral or shut off the engine completely in order for the vehicle to stop.

The NHTSA said that the investigation will assess the frequency, scope, and safety-related consequences of the problem.
