Amazon Continues to be Sued Over Zappos Data Breach

Nine class action consumer fraud lawsuits were filed against Amazon over a January data breach incident on subsidiary Zappos.com.

According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the plaintiffs in the lawsuits feared that they had an increased risk of financial crimes and identity theft using their information that was hacked from the online shoe retailer.

Zappos told customers that their credit card information had not been stolen, but that hackers did access to their email addresses, shipping and billing addresses, phone numbers, and last four digits of their credit card numbers.
