A class-action consumer fraud lawsuit filed in a federal court alleges that Angie’s List hiked prices for subscriber renewals without the consent of customers.

Courthouse News reports that the lawsuit claims that Angie’s List members have their memberships automatically renewed by the company at its more costly membership renewal fee rather than the cheaper membership fee schedule.  Angie’s List has also gone ahead and upgraded the subscribers’ plans without their consent, according to the complaint.

The lawsuit seeks damages for violation of contract, unlawful enrichment, and deception.
