Chrysler Issues Recall for Liberty SUVs for Rear Suspension Issues

Report this content

Chrysler has issued a recall for close to 210,000 Jeep Liberty SUVs throughout the U.S. due to issues with their rear suspensions.

According to Consumer Reports, the car recall has been issued because the rear suspension of the Jeeps might corrode and break after it has been excessively exposed to salt used on roads during the winter.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that recall includes Jeep Liberty’s manufactured from July 2003 and July 2005.

Jeep Liberty vehicles are currently being investigated by the NHTSA for another issue involving unintended airbag deployment.
