A $200 million class action data breach lawsuit filed against Georgia’s Emory Healthcare claims the system lost the personal records of nearly 315,000 patients.

In April, Emory said it lost 10 discs containing patients’ personal information, including Social Security numbers that appear on 228,000 of the lost records, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The data breach lawsuit seeks $1,000 each for each patient affected as well as other damages. The suit also asks Emory to compensate class members for the cost of identity theft and credit insurance for at least three years.
