Easton Sports Recalls Lacrosse Helmets

If you are a lacrosse player who owns an Easton Raptor Lacrosse Helmet and would like to avoid a broken jaw or lacerated face, you may want to consider another type of headgear after its manufacturer issued a recall for it due to a product defect.

Easton Sports issued a recall that affects 12,000 helmets because the chin bar can break, causing the wearer to suffer facial or jaw injuries.

The company received reports of six incidents where the chin bar cracked or broke on impact with a lacrosse ball or stick, including one laceration injury.

The lacrosse helmets were sold online and in stores from November 2011 to March 2012.
