FDA Cautions Over Hidden Drug in Tianji True Slim

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an alert urging consumers to stop usage of Tianji True Slim due to the presence of a substance that was withdrawn from the market for posing health hazards.

The FDA reported that the dietary supplement Tianji True Slim - a product advertised for fat reduction, detoxification of the digestive system, boosting metabolism, restoring energy rates, and reducing water retention in the body - contains sibutramine, which is potentially harmful for consumers.

Sibutramine can elevate blood pressure levels and pulse rate. Patients with a history of coronary artery disease (CAD), congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke are at a greater health risk. Sibutramine may also react with other medications in life-threatening ways.

The FDA has advised the consumers to discontinue the use of this product and discard it immediately.
