FDA Warns Two Dietary Supplement Makers

Report this content

Two companies selling dietary supplements that claim to treat concussions recently received warning letters from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA issued warning letters to PruTect Rx and Trinity Sports Group Inc. for promoting dietary supplements that are not proven to be safe and effective for the treatment of concussions or in the prevention or treatment of post-concussion syndrome or other neurological disorders. None of the products cited were approved for these purposes by the FDA.

The products cited in the warning letters include both the capsule and powder forms of Trinity Sports Group’s Neuro Impact Concussion Response Formula and PruTect Rx’s NeuroPruTect and Omega3PruTect.
