Implus Footcare Recalls Resistance Bands

Implus Footcare, in collaboration with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), issued a voluntary recall of 75,600 Perfect Resistance Bands over potential injury hazards.

These resistance bands, manufactured in China by Dalps & Leisure Products Supply Corp, No. 5, are made of rubber tubes attached through a hole and fixed by grommets to cloth stitched into loops. The recalled bands may separate from the cloth loops and injure the user and those nearby, said the CPSC.

The firm has confirmed 12 injury reports related to the Perfect Resistance Bands, including one complaint reported to the CPSC. Injuries to the back, hand, and eye were reported, though none of the injuries were severe and only one needed medical aid.

The CPSC has asked consumers to stop using the recalled bands, sold exclusively at WalMart, and contact Implus Footcare for a replacement or refund.
