Kelty Issues Recall for Jogging Strollers

Kelty and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have issued a recall for jogging strollers because of fall and injury risks.

According to the CPSC, the Kelty Speedster Swivel Deluxe single jogging strollers and Swivel Deuce double jogging strollers are being recalled because the front wheel may become loose during use and result in the stroller tipping over. This may potentially cause a fall and injury to both the adults pushing the stroller and the children who are in it. The recall affects about 3,000 units.

There have been three reports of incidents where adults experienced minor cuts, scrapes and fractured bones and children experienced minor cuts and scrapes.

The strollers were sold at sporting goods stores throughout the U.S. from January 2010 to February 2012, as well as online.
