Keyless Car Ignitions May be Harmful

Keyless car ignitions are designed to make the driving experience simpler, but recent fatalities linked to the car feature have raised concerns as to whether they are safe.

According to ABC News, more than 160 car models offer keyless car ignitions. The Center for Auto Safety wants car makers to return to keys after tracking six deaths involving the push-button starters. Some of the deaths involved carbon monoxide poisoning after drivers forgot to turn off the ignition in their vehicles.

Several keyless car ignition users are pursing litigation against manufacturers, claiming they experienced losses and that the manufacturers of the product are liable for making a device that makes it easy for car owners to forget to turn the ignition off.
