Minnesota’s Attorney General expanded the state’s lawsuit against Accretive Health Inc. by including additional testimonials from patients who claim the company harassed them for money while they were getting emergency care.

Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson filed the complaint against Accretive alleging that it engaged in abusive debt collection practices of hospital bills that might have violated consumer protection and debt- collection laws, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Swanson seeks to amend the complaint and asked a federal judge to include 27 more patient affidavits.

Accretive said it plans to move to reject this new request by the attorney general.
