NFL Sued By More Former Players

The National Football League continues to be the basis of new lawsuits by former players, with the latest 11 claims hailing from Louisiana.

According to theAssociated Press, a number of former players -Tyrone Hughes, Eric Hill, Curtis Baham, Raion Hill, Maurice Hurst, Treverance Faulk, Keaton Cromartie, Vince Buck, Charles Commiskey and Tyrone Legette and John Fourcade - filed their complaint in New Orleans Federal Court. The players claim they developed physical or mental health problems from concussions or head injuries they sustained while playing in the NFL.

The personal injury lawsuit states that the NFL wanted “their players on the field instead of training tables,” and “purposefully attempted to obfuscate the issue and has repeatedly refuted the connection between concussions and brain injury to the disgust of Congress, which has blasted the NFL’s handling of the issue on multiple occasions.”

Many other complaints by former players against the NFL have already been consolidated in Philadelphia.
