Nursing Home Abuse Podcast: Medicaid's Shortfall

Report this content

Nursing home neglect is a serious form of abuse that is, sadly, much more common than many may assume. In an attempt to raise awareness about the realities of elder abuse, we are presenting a four part podcast series via ElderLaw Radio that focuses on the problems that lead to nursing home abuse, the ways that some are seeking to address the problem, and how to best pursue a nursing home abuse claim with a law firm such as Sokolove Law.

In this episode, titled “Medicaid’s Shortfall,” Scott Plumb, the senior vice president of the Massachusetts’ Senior Care Association, speaks about the quality of care in the nursing homes his company represents as well as the looming problems involving resource allocation that he sees in the future that are being caused by Medicaid.
