River Ranch Fresh Foods issued a recall for its bagged salads due to a possible contamination.

The California Department of Public Health says that the recall was issued "after routine sampling detected Listeria Monocytogenes in two packages of shredded iceberg lettuce purchased from retail locations in California and Colorado."

The side effects of the infection include fever, headache, stiff neck, loss of balance, convulsions, muscle aches, and gastrointestinal problems. People with weak immune systems such as infants and the elderly have the highest risk for severe illness and death, according to CNN.
