Some City Versa Strollers Recalled Over Fall Risk

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada announced that Baby Jogger LLC voluntarily recalled around 10,600 Baby Jogger City Versa strollers due to a potential fall hazard.

According to the CPSC, about 8,400 strollers in the United States and 2,200 in Canada were recalled because the stroller frame can fail to latch in place and collapse while still in use, which makes it possible for the child inside the stroller to fall.

The company received six complaints regarding the problem, though no injuries have been reported so far.

The Baby Jogger City Versa model strollers were manufactured in China and sold online and at buybuy Baby and other stores from July to October 2012. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled product and contact Baby Jogger for a free replacement of the stroller frame, said the CPSC.
