Sprint Nextel Corp will pay $19 million to settle a consumer fraud lawsuit that claims the mobile service provider overcharged them for sending pictures from their cell phones.

The consumer fraud lawsuit claims that Sprint failed to inform its “Everything Messaging” customers about the charges and did not communicate how to properly use the phones to avoid the fees, according to Reuters.

The settlement will compensate customers from January 2008 to June 2012 in the form of fee waivers, free service, credit adjustments, cash, and gift cards.

Sprint denies any wrongdoing.
