Mutsy USA Inc. recalled around 340 Mutsy Evo Strollers for a possible strangulation hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the opening between the grab bar and the seat bottom of the stroller may let the child’s body pass through and get caught at the neck if the child is not harnessed. No injuries or deaths have been reported with the use of the product to date.

The risk was revealed during the stroller testing program undertaken by Consumer Reports in December 2012.

The Mutsy Evo stroller recall involves products that have the following specifications:

• Manufactured between February 2012 and November 2012

• Model nos. MT12-03, MT12-11, MT12-14, MT12-31, MT12-34, MT112-37, MT12-39, MT12-42, MT12-43,MT12-48

• Available at juvenile product stores and online

• Sold between April 2012 and December 2012

Consumers have been warned against buying or using the strollers. A free replacement of the seat and grab bar is available from the company.
