TD Bank Settles Overdraft Fee Lawsuit for $62M

TD Bank has agreed to pay $62 million to settle an overdraft fee lawsuit that claims the bank ripped their customers off with unfair overdraft fee policies.

The consumer fraud lawsuit claimed that the banks reordered debit-card transactions in their computers so customers would be charged the maximum amount of overdraft fees, according to Bloomberg.

TD Bank is just one out of over 30 banks who have been sued for their overdraft fee policies. Last year, Bank of America settled a similar class action for $410 million.
