A California woman has filed a lawsuit against her former workplace alleging that the company fired her due to her medical condition.

Business Insider reports that the plaintiff Susan Vinci-Lucero claims that she was discharged from duties after being diagnosed with breast cancer because her supeiors thought the chemotherapy disrupted her work at the company. She was senior vice president of marketing and product management at Good Technology Corp.

According to her lawyers, the company violated multiple laws including the California Family Rights Act. The suit seeks $6 million as damages, reports Business Insider.

The company denies all the allegations and states that the company did not fire her, but Vinci-Lucero chose to resign.
