Zenprop Property Holdings cuts energy bills with solar panels
PV system completed by Solarcentury Africa and Standard Electrical
Zenprop Property Holdings is one of the largest property investment and development companies in South Africa. Zenprop strives to ensure that energy and resource efficiencies are achieved through implementation of best design and construction practices across the entire development process.
Zenprop has recently completed the installation of solar panels on a commercial property that it developed and owns in Woodmead, Johannesburg. The solar PV (photovoltaic) system was commissioned and designed by Solarcentury Africa, and installed and project managed by Standard Electrical.
The 88 kWp system is designed to maximise the amount of clean electricity generated via a combination of solar panels mounted to the roof of the recently completed building as well as to the roof of the carport structure.
Currently the majority of electricity produced in South Africa is through the burning of coal. The demand for electricity is beginning to surpass supply and the cost of coal powered energy continues to rise. Zenprop has identified solar panels as a clean source of renewable, reliable and sustainable energy.

We plan to install further solar panels on our buildings this year.”
