Accelerating the green transition - Solwers becomes a shareholder in a startup founded by environmental doyennes

Together with Solwers, Kari & Pantsar Co. strives to expand services towards a nature-positive built environment.

Solwers strengthens the presence of its companies in ecological and environmental services and has agreed on a shareholding partnership with Kari & Pantsar Oy on Tuesday 23 January 2024. The holding is one third of the company's shares.
Kari & Pantsar Co. is a change agency focused on environmental consulting. It helps companies minimise their environmental and climate impacts, respond to increasing reporting requirements and become forerunners in biodiversity, climate, and circular economy roadmaps. In addition, the services include strategic sustainability consulting for management, ecological compensations, nature-based solutions, climate change adaptation and networks for pioneers.
The company operations, launched in May 2023, are led by Emma Kari, Finland’s former Minister of the Environment and Climate, and Mari Pantsar, a former Director of Sustainability Solutions at the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra. In less than a year, the team has grown to seven environmental and climate professionals. The clientele already includes large companies, SMEs, financial companies, and cities in Finland. Kari & Pantsar Co. aims to collaborate with international partners and is planning a name change.

Mari Pantsar has been a member of Solwers' Board of Directors since 2019 but did not participate in decision-making related to the topic in her Board role.
