Scribona enters into Nordic data communications agreement with Song Networks

Scribona enters into Nordic data communications agreement with Song Networks Song Networks AB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Song Networks Holding AB (NASDAQ: SONW, OM Stockholm Stock Exchange: SONW), has entered into a three-year agreement with Scribona AB relating to an entirely Nordic IP- VPN solution. This order is worth between SEK 4 and 5 million a year. The agreement means that Song Networks will act as an operator for Scribona's internal data links based on around 40 IP-VPN ports throughout the Nordic Region. 30 of these ports will be located in Sweden. The network transfer rate will be up to 20 Mbit/s. "Scribona is active throughout the Nordic Region, so the fact that Song Networks was able to offer us a flexible agreement for secure, high- capacity data links in all the Nordic countries was crucial to us," says Tom Ekevall Larsen, CIO at Scribona AB. "The reason why we get so much Nordic data communications business is that we've concentrated on fast transfer rates and security across our network for a long time now. This, combined with the fact that we offer bespoke solutions locally in the Nordic countries, means that we have a lot to offer the market," says Pelle Hjortblad, MD of Song Networks AB. IP-VPN is a solution for transferring data between local networks and is based on a technology known as Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS). This technology essentially guarantees unlimited network capacity with extremely high levels of security.
