Song Networks withdraw from Combination Agreement with Telenor

Song Networks withdraw from Combination Agreement with Telenor Song Networks Holding AB (NASDAQ: SONW, Stockholmsbörsen: SONW) announced today that Song Networks has terminated the Combination Agreement, dated July 9 2002, between Song, Song Networks N.V. ("Song N.V.") and Telenor Business Solutions Holding. An ad hoc committee of bondholders of Song N.V. (the "Committee") were not supportive of the restructuring terms resulting from the Combination Agreement. Representatives of the ad hoc committee confirmed to Song that the committee remains positive about Song's restructuring potential and that the committee and Song are considering a number of potential restructuring alternatives. Barry Ross of PricewaterhouseCoopers, financial advisor to the Committee said: "The development of possible alternatives for a restructuring of Song is progressing satisfactorily, and the termination of the Combination Agreement is helpful to that process.
