EPA NAMES AIR KING 2012 ENERGY STAR® PARTNER OF THE YEAR
Air King earns award for protecting the environment through manufacturing energy-efficient products
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – March 2012 – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named Air King as a 2012 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Product Manufacturer for its outstanding contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient products and helping to educate consumers about those products.
Air King’s accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2012, which marks the 20th anniversary of ENERGY STAR.
Air King, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2002, will be honored for its leadership in manufacturing products that earn the ENERGY STAR, the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency. Air King continued its leadership in energy efficient products by adding to its lines of ENERGY STAR qualified exhaust fans and range hoods. Some of these additions included the BFQF Snap-In installation exhaust fans, ADA-compliant range hoods and the energy-efficient UL555C Fire Rated series exhaust fans. Through the “Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR” pledge campaign, Air King was able to save over 4.3 million pounds of greenhouse gasses.
Over the past 20 years, American families and businesses have saved nearly $230 billion on utility bills and prevented greenhouse gas emissions equal to those from more than 350 million vehicles with help from ENERGY STAR.

The 2012 Partner of the Year Awards are given to manufacturers and retailers that successfully promote and deliver ENERGY STAR qualified products, saving consumers money and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Award winners are selected from about 20,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program.
