Sörman Information and AerotechTelub Information & Media merge into Sweden's major supplier of technical information. Sörman Information and AT Information & Media are today working with the management of technical information tied to advanced products and systems, mainly for the national defence and the Swedish industry. The merger will increase the possibilities of meeting customer demands for qualified technical information and information systems. At the same time the new company will provide a larger base for development and implementation of modern, cost-effective after-sales solutions. As major operators on the Swedish market, both companies have very strong positions within the defence organisation, and within the defence, automotive, and telecom industrial sectors. With the gradual change to a network-based organisation, the Swedish military defence is facing new demands for availability and management of information. The new company, with its joint extensive knowledge and experience, forms the basis to both maintain a strong focus on the military market and meet the new policy for the national defence. The automotive and telecom industries are two other high-priority markets where the new company has established strong positions. In these sectors information is already recognised as a competitive tool for after-sales activities. The focus is now gradually moving from technological and production processes to customer-oriented processes, and this is where today's industry has a great potential to increase income and customer satisfaction by employing a rational information management. Main shareholders of the new company are Investor Growth Capital, AerotechTelub (Saab AB) and Nordico (the 6th Swedish Pension Insurance Fund). The new company will have about 250 employees in total, and have its main office in Växjö. The regional offices will include Stockholm, Göteborg, Linköping and Malmö.
