PROMISING RESULTS IN INVESTIGATIONS AT HOPEAVUORI GOLD-DEPOSIT
Current mineral-resources at Hopeavuori gold-deposit in the Tampere area is estimated to 238.000 tons at a gold grade of 3.8 g/ton. Achieved results show that Hopeavuori´s gold-deposit has potential for significant increase of mineral-resource.
About 500 meters west of Hopeavuori´s main deposit, there is a smaller deposit Hopeavuori West. Current amount of gold-bearing rock is estimated to about 50.000 tons at 1.3 g/ton gold. This area will be included into next investigation-phase together with the area between the targets.
Both resource estimates belongs to the category inferred, according to JORC Code 2012. A cut-off at 0.5 g/t gold and no top-cut has been used. Resource- models have been prepared on basis of drilling, geophysical investigations and three-dimensional modelling.
Concentration-properties of Hopeavuori´s gold-bearing deposits have been investigated at the Mineral Technology Laboratory of Geological Research Center. The sample was a 71 kg sample collected from diamond-drill cores, where average gold-content was 4.62 g/t.
The mineralogical study was done with a hydro-separation method to detect the gold- amenable for gravity-concentration. With a gold-grade of 3718 g/t at a recovery of 5.7 % the heaviest fraction was detected.
In the bench-scale gravity-separation test on a shaking-table a gold-grade of 228 g/t at a recovery of 18.7 % was obtained. Rougher flotation on the gravity-tailing yielded to a bulk-rougher concentrate. The gold-grade of the concentrate was 72.7 g/t and the gold recovery 74.9 %. In direct rougher flotation the bulk concentrate showed a gold grade of 80 g/t at a recovery of 92.9 %.
Concentration tests indicate that it is possible to prepare gold concentrates, while additional investigation-tests will be needed in order to optimize the concentration-process.

”I am very pleased with the results of the investigations of the Hopeavuori gold-occurrence. They indicate that along with further investigations the deposit has potential to become a significant exploitable deposit. These investigations is the first step in developing our gold-targets in the Tampere area and creates trust into the potential of our targets in this area” says Timo Lindborg.
