SOTKAMO SILVER: CONSTRUCTION OF TAILINGS PONDS AND ORE STORAGE AREAS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
The clarification and tailings ponds of Silver Mine have been constructed in accordance with the lay-outs and regulations of the environmental permit. Launching of the ponds and water accumulation will commence in December. In total five settling ponds were built in addition to the tailings pond.
At the same time, the intermediate storage areas for ore were also completed, which enables the mining of ore to be started. Construction work was carried out by E. Hartikainen Oy and membrane structures by Kaitos Oy.
