SOTKAMO SILVER HAS APPOINTED ILKKA TUOKKO AS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR ITS FINNISH SUBSIDIARY FROM 1ST OF AUGUST 2011
Ilkka Tuokko is currently Group Geology & Mining Manager of Mondo Minerals B.V. and in the board of Sotkamo Silver AB. Mondo Minerals has at the moment in Finland three active mines with a yearly output of 1 Million tons of talc-nickel ore and several exploration projects abroad. Ilkka Tuokko, born in 1950, has Master of Sciences in geology and mineralogy from Oulu University. He has more than 30 years experience from mining projects and international mining companies. Ilkka has ”Competent Person” status, according to Australian JORC and Swedish SveMin.
Sotkamo Silvers present CEO, Jouko Jylänki will continue in the company and can concentrate into his job as Chief Technical Officer for the Group.

Ilkka joins now Sotkamo Silver at an important stage in developing the company’s Taivaljärvi Silver Mine project.
