South Bank London has teamed up with the capital’s leading literary emporium, Foyles, to bring a Twitter creative writing challenge. 

The Challenge

Get inspired by South Bank with views of the London skyline and its world-famous, iconic attractions including Coca-Cola London Eye, The London Dungeon and National Theatre, to devise a piece of creative writing within ONE tweet, 140 characters.

How to Enter

-          You must follow South Bank London and Foyles on Twitter

-          You must use the hashtag #SouthBankStory so we can see your tweet

-          You can enter as many times as you wish

-          By entering, South Bank London and Foyles may retweet your entry

-          Your entry will not be accepted if it contains plagiarism or offensive language

Prizes

First Prize Bundle – one winner will win:

-          £50 Foyles gift card

-          A copy of 'Freeman's The Best New Writing on Arrival' by John Freeman.

-          a pair of National Theatre tickets for Shakespeare’s comedy, As You Like It

Runners-up prize – five runners-up will win:

-          South Bank London ‘Heart of Winter’ poster

-          A copy of 'Freeman's The Best New Writing on Arrival' by John Freeman

Judging Criteria

Foyles’ creative team and members of South Bank’s major organisations, including Southbank Centre, National Theatre and BFI Southbank, will judge the tweets based on originality, engagement and creative inclusion of South Bank and its attractions.
