Can you afford to ignore your cyber security?

Last year, 74% of UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) experienced a breach in their security. The cost of the worst single breach was between £75,000 and £311,000.

Southampton Solent University’s School of Business and Law has organised an event to help company owners consider how they can better protect themselves and their business from cybercrime.

Experts Luke Hull, from Information Security Consultant, and Detective Inspector Lloyd Tobin, will look at some of the practical and legal responsibilities of cyber security, and how to strengthen security and procedures.

Effective information security is crucial to all businesses today. Their information and data is invaluable, but there are people who would seek to exploit it for their own ends; leaving businesses out of pocket, with a damaged reputation and loss of trust.

This is an ideal opportunity to learn more about cyber security, how to protect yourself and your business.

The event is free and a light buffet with wine will be provided. To register for your place, please go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/solent-law-criminology-can-you-afford-to-ignore-your-cyber-security-tickets-17671054600
