Southampton Guildhall will be a hub of excitement this month as almost 2,500 students gown-up and graduate with degrees and professional qualifications from Southampton Solent University.

Ten ceremonies over five days (16-20 November) will showcase new graduate talent ranging from the areas of business, law, art, fashion and design, media arts, technology and maritime education.

Looking forward to taking part in the highlight of the academic year, Vice-Chancellor Professor Graham Baldwin says: “Graduation is a celebration of the academic achievement and new skills of our students and a time to look forward to their future success.

“We are proud of our students during their time with us and we follow with interest the impact they have as graduates on our societies and economies – locally, nationally and internationally.

“I am confident that as products of an enterprising and dynamic university, our graduates will find innovative ways of responding to the opportunities and challenges of an increasingly globalised world.”

Southampton Solent University Chancellor, Admiral The Right Honourable Lord West of Spithead, Jonathan Cheshire OBE, Pro-Chancellor and Chair of the Board of Governors and Dr Jo Mountfield, will preside over the University’s graduation ceremonies.

Graduates will be able to share their experience with friends and relatives from around the world via a live webcast, which will also be available to view on mobile and tablet devices.
