As one of the most creative universities in the UK, Southampton Solent University has attracted the attention of two exciting fashion designers from Hong Kong.

Pacino Wan and Victor Tong, from Hong Kong Design Institute, will be delivering a double guest lecture on Thursday 8 May 2014, which is also open to members of the public.

Once hailed as the 'Moschino of Asia' and featured by Newsweek as one of Hong Kong's most promising young designers in 1997, Pacino Wan's collections are usually underpinned by a strong concept and a quirky sense of humour.

The award-winning designer’s collections are favoured by several Hong Kong celebrities who love his visionary design.

Victor Tong is a lecturer in Fashion & Image Design at Hong Kong Design Institute, where he studied for his Master of Arts in Visual Cultural Studies.

He has a wealth of experience in image and make up design, contributing to over 150 productions in the musical genre, including A Charles Dickens Christmas Musical (2013), Mulan (2012), Peter Pan Musical World Tour (2006-2007), High School Musical I & II (2008/2009) and The Wizard of Oz (2007).

The guest lecture is open to the public, and free to attend. It will take place on Thursday 8 May 2014, at 12 noon in the Sir James Matthews (SJM) building, Above Bar, Southampton, SO14 7NN.
