WITH THIS NEW ROUTE, SPANAIR CONTINUES TO MEET ROUTE EXPANSION PLANS ANNOUNCED LAST YEAR THUS BUILDING UPON ITS AMPLE DOMESTIC FLIGHT NETWORK AND REINFORCING ITS MADRID-BARAJAS HUB

Madrid, 10 March 2005. As of 17 April 2005, Spanair opens a new route offering four daily round trip flights between Madrid and Jerez de la Frontera. Spanair is the first domestic airline to provide Madrid –Jerez de la Frontera passengers with this alternative, enhanced by expanded scheduled flight offerings, on a route formerly served by only one airline. The new route is particularly attractive to business travelers, who can now opt for early departure-one day return flights, and so take advantage of a full working day in either city. In the words of Spanair CEO, Gonzalo Pascual, “We are eager to strengthen our connections with the city of Jerez, and pleased to serve the demands of this passenger market”, and, “The new service increases our flight offerings out of our Madrid hub and further expands Spanair´s network of Barajas Airport connections with domestic and European flights and services, shared with Spanair´s fellow Star Alliance members.
