Spanair increases its number of flights between Barcelona and Algiers

Since the beginning of June, the company operates six flights per week between the two capital cities.

Palma de Mallorca, 25th June 2008. - Spanair has increased its flight offer between Barcelona and Algiers since the 8th June in view of the summer season, offering to its passengers six weekly flights between both cities, four additional frequencies than in 2007 summer season, when these flights started.

The Barcelona – Algiers route has several connection possibilities with Spanair domestic flights to and from the cities of Malaga, A Coruña, Vigo, Madrid, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca and Seville, as well as with the international flights offered by Spanair and Star Alliance’s member carriers to Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Lisbon, Munich and Zurich.

“The development of Spanair’s flights network to North Africa, a strategic market for the company, is designed to cover the increasing needs of costumers, especially those passengers travelling for business reasons”, states Marcus Hedblom, Spanair’s CEO. “Moreover, with this operation we strengthen our international flights offer, becoming a connection point for the Star Alliance flight network in this dynamic African region,” he adds.
