Report this content

The move means that the company is making a firm commitment to the travel agencies channel and becomes the first Spanish airline to provide a web-based reservations engine specially aimed at them.

Madrid, 5 July 2005.- From today onwards Spanair has set up an original reservations engine for travel agencies at www.spanair.com/agencias which allows each agency to register, obtain an exclusive access account and gain direct access to Spanair’s complete range of available seats. Such professional web access means that the reservations process is now simpler. Registered users have a more user-friendly system, clearer and more concise information, interactive content and a detailed price breakdown, while the agent can afterwards be sent the travel itinerary, including all the specific conditions of the reservation. The reservations engine also includes the option of creating travel profiles so that details of regular customers can be stored and the list of created reservations viewed, which offers information on the agency’s reservations history. Via this professional web access Spanair is thus backing up the support, faith and regard it has for travel agencies. Spanair offers more than 600 daily flights operated with a modern fleet of 56 aircraft and in codeshare with its partners, to more than 150 destinations. Since April 1, 2003 the company is a full member of Star Alliance, the biggest and most prestigious airline network in the world.
