SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge: New Executive Vice President for Innovation and Business Development

Bjørn Tore Markussen (51) is new Executive Vice President for Innovation and Business Development at SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge. He will join on 1 August 2021.

– I am really pleased to have Markussen in my team. He brings experience from top management positions in Det Norske Veritas and World Economic Forum/Aker, and also has a vast network, both nationally and internationally. I have high expectations that we will take new steps with Markussen at the helm, says CEO Liv B. Ulriksen.

Markussen is a graduate of the Royal Norwegian Military Academy, and Defence University College, with executive programs in management, economics and technology from UC Berkley, IMD Lausanne and the University of Tromsø. He comes from the position as Chief Executive Officer of World Economic Forum and Aker’s Center for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
