On 26th May 2006, Fitch Ratings upgraded Sparebanken Rogaland ("SR")   IDR(Issuer Default Rating)  to 'A.' from A- ( A minus) and its Short-Term rating from 'F2' to 'F1', and affirmed its other ratings at Individual 'B' and Support '3'. The rating actions take into account the bank's improved underlying financial performance in 2005 and in Q106, supported by a benign economic environment, management's successful focus on increasing commission income and better risk management.
