Digital marketing specialists Speedie Consultants have launched a new infographic highlighting the most popular insurance types bought online and how social media influences customers’ insurance buying habits.

The infographic combines two recent surveys* revealing some interesting facts, for example:

  • 50% of consumers use social media to research an insurance product, yet only 22% felt it helped them with their decision;
  • 67% of Brits buy their motor insurance online;
  • 18% of people who have wanted to buy insurance online have been unable to as the broker / insurance website does not sell online.
